Beccy suddenly realised that, despite taking loads of photos of Kayla in the first few weeks she hadn’t actually got any of her and Kayla together except those taken in hospital! (There are not loads of photos of me either but then I am a typical photographer – camera shy!) So at 3 weeks old we got a few photos of mum and daughter together.

Here are some more photos of Kayla (I think this is going to be a recurring theme for the next couple of decades!!). These were taken when she was one week old and her uncle Matthew (Beccy’s brother) came to visit.

I love this first photo – she looks like she is pulling a rapper pose!

I just had to post a photo of this fantastic nappy cake that was send to us by Beccy’s Aunty Jeanette and Uncle Peter. The ‘cake’ is made up of layers of baby stuff with nappies round the edges surrounding all sorts of other goodies from baby wipes to baby booties. It was an adventure in itself unwrapping it all!

As promised here are some more photos of our gorgeous baby daughter, Kayla Neve, on her first day in the world.

Our poor little bruised, cone-headed baby – the marks didn’t last long though and were gone in about 3 days.

Cuddle’s with Nana & Grandpa (Beccy’s parents) who were very excited to meet their first grandchild.

Andy’s parents, Gran and Grandpy, were equally excited to cuddle their first granddaughter (second grandchild).

Our beautiful daughter, Kayla Neve, finally arrived 8 days late on 21st February weighing in at a hefty 9lbs! She is gorgeous and we are totally smitten if somewhat exhausted. Below is a photo of our little princess with more to follow soon when we have started to adjust to the sleepless nights!
